This is my first week back training after a lengthy sabbatical caused by an excessive workload over the past month and a half. Thinking back, I'm already second guessing whether or not I couldn't have gotten even just a
few workouts in... but no. It was insane. I'm in Las Vegas at a conference this week, but Scott and I worked out 'together' yesterday, coordinating our workout times across time zones so that we were in the gym - albeit separated by miles and miles - at the same time. OK, so it wasn't the same as really working out together - but it was something. With my lack of working out lately, we haven't worked out together in a long time and I've missed it. Soon I'll be home (tomorrow ) for a real together workout!
For the record Deanna's sabbatical was not a month and a half long (she did manage to get some workouts in within that period of time) but she was indeed working like a dog (don't know quite where that saying comes from - as I type this our dog is curled up on the living room couch resting her head on a large bed pillow that I left there after watching a late night movie yesterday). Deanna's had many days of getting up and starting work from home at 5:00 am, then heading into the office around 8:00, returning home between 5:00 and 6:00 pm for supper and then working some more during the evening. It doesn't help that one of the proposals she's been working on is with a company overseas, so she gets emails, spreadsheet updates, etc. at really odd hours of the night and then has to integrate the info contained therein into presentations she's doing early the next day.
Things are dying down a bit now though and I'm happy that Deanna can be more focused on training again, for her sake. It'll be good to have you back tomorrow babe.
Welcome back at it Deanna and to a lower stress level as well!
I look forward to getting through my own stress filled flying/away period, which will last for another 2-3 weeks. I hope to keep up some reasonable workouts though ...
