I think I'm continuing to feel better, but man do colds last longer than they used to, or I'm whimpier than I used to be.  Weights weren't bad today but I decided to do legs today and defer chest and back to tomorrow (the way the schedule is written I can do that without any compromise).  Legs are never really that much of a struggle to get through.  I also went for a pretty pathetic run today, but a pathetic run is better than no run, right?

Deanna is just about to do weights as I type this.  She's managed to keep on schedule this week, though I think life is tiring her out at the moment.  She has a fairly heavy workload at the moment and her mother is awaiting palliative care - at the moment Deanna and her sisters are trying to coordinate that one of them be by her mother's side at all times (24 hrs)attending to various needs until she is under professional care.  More than the actual attending to needs though I think the mental stress of being concerned for your mother's welfare is taxing.  All I can really do is try to make sure everything is in order at home so that Deanna can be relaxed when she's here.  I got some bubble bath and scented lotions for her, and the dogs and I walked to Cornelia Bean (http://www.corneliabean.com/) to buy her some special tea leaves and one chocolate heart.  The gestures feel pretty inadequate, but there's not much more to do.  I'm still encouraging Deanna to get the workouts in because at this point I think they're helpful to her, but at some point she may just need to take a break from them.

I may work on pulling a few parts off of an old bike while Deanna works out as I prepare for my newest bike frame to get painted and ready for final assembly (it's been 3 months since I took possession of the custom, unpainted frame and it's still not painted, but hopefully that will change soon).  The last piece I'm waiting for is a pair of white DiaCompe brake levers that I ordered on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280090155554&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:CA:11) to compliment the white frame job and white saddle (http://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCEqProduct.jsp?minisite=10029&spid=26033).  The bike will either look really dorky or really cool when finished, but either way I hope to be happy with it.
